Policy Committee
The Board of Directors may establish such standing committees as it believes appropriate. The Chairperson may also designate Board Members to serve as liaisons or representatives to standing committees.
The Policy Committee, in addition to operating in accordance with the Emphasis, Membership, and Procedures above, shall:
- Regularly review current school Policies in an ongoing and rotating fashion.
- Review Policy in light of Strategic Planning and Schoolwide Goals.
- Act as a forum to hear proposed changes in Policy coming from Administration, teachers, or parents.
- Survey and review Policies from other schools as needed in an effort to stay current with trends and changes in international school Policy.
- Provide a forum for discussion of Policy by any of the school’s various communities.
- Recommend changes in Policy to the Board, and insure that there are no conflicts or duplications.
- Refer any decisions or respective questions regarding proposals or changes in Policy to the appropriate Committee.
- Monitor the Administration’s implementation of Policy.
- Report all of the above to the full Board
