Reading aloud not only helps develop literacy skills, but it also builds community and connects us to each other.
On World Read Aloud Day, people all around the globe read aloud and share stories to advocate for literacy as a human right.
February 1 the Elementary School joined students in more than 100 countries celebrating World Read Aloud Day. Students had the opportunity to read aloud and be read to in locations around the school. Buddy classes read together, an illustrator read one of her books via Skype, and parents came in to read stories in their home language. Our dedicated student librarians read to a captive audience at lunchtime.
ISPP loves reading!
