School Lunch Plan

All students are welcome and encouraged to join the school lunch plan provided by our caterer, Epicure Catering (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.

Grade 1-12 students who are on the lunch plan are offered a buffet-style lunch, consisting of Asian, Western and vegetarian dishes. Students also have the option to choose noodle soup and from an extensive salad/fresh fruit selection all for the same price. For Early Years and Kindergarten students: Asian, Western and vegetarian dishes are usually served at the table “family style” together with side dishes, salad and fresh fruit, however, current hygiene protocols mean that each student is served the day’s dishes on an individual tray. Vegetarian options are available. All food is prepared fresh daily to the highest quality and standards by on-site chefs. Grades 11-12 students, faculty/staff and parents can also purchase snacks and drinks throughout the day at the café adjacent to the cafeteria.

Lunch plan registrations are made online and payment by bank transfer or cash deposit at the bank branch, and registrations must be completed before the term begins. Only new students enrolling into ISPP can join the lunch plan after the relevant deadline and prices will be calculated based on the remaining number of lunch days up until the end of the relevant term or semester.

ISPP practices Meat Free Mondays. This is an ISPP student-led, environmental initiative, and Epicure has been asked to participate as the school’s service provider. More information about the benefits of eating vegetarian at least one day per week can be found here and here.

School Lunch Plan FAQs

The lunch plan is worked out on a daily rate of $4 or $4.50, depending on grade, and is charged on a term or semester basis. This rate is reviewed each year and subject to inflation.

Typically the lunch plan consists of a buffet style with a selection of western, asian and vegetarian dishes, noodle soup, fresh salad and fruit bar. Students are able to choose their own meal with the option to return for seconds if desired. For Early Years and Kindergarten students, a selection of Asian, Western and Vegetarian dishes are served at the table ‘family style’ together with side dishes, salad and fresh fruit.

Epicure can cater for most common allergies by the wide range of choice available on the daily menu. However, more complex allergies will be dealt with on a case by case basis upon receipt of supporting documentation by a qualified medical practitioner (i.e. note from child’s doctor). Parents are advised to study the menu prior to enrollment to ensure there is enough choice available if their child cannot eat certain foods.

Lunch plans are available on a long term basis only. They are not available to purchase on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, or for less than a term. This is to ensure that we have the continuity of numbers and to make certain that there is enough food for everyone enrolled in the plan.

Epicure is unable to offer any refund for missed days as the onsite chef will prepare daily for the total amount enrolled on the lunch plan, much the same as the school is unable to refund any school fees for sick days.

Epicure adheres to strict food hygiene and safety policies and procedures as provided to the school. In addition, Epicure employs their own internal auditor to monitor safe practices and report back to the Senior Management Team.

Grades 11-12 students, faculty/staff and parents can purchase snacks and drinks throughout the day at the café adjacent to the cafeteria. Younger students cannot use the café during the school day.

The cafeteria is open to everybody. All Elementary students are required to eat lunch in the cafeteria where there is adult supervision. Most Secondary students who bring their lunch from home will also eat there with their friends.
